One of the World’s most Beautiful Ski Resorts!

Ortisei’s setting is quiet and peacefully located in a beautiful village center with traditional European chalets and decorative, hand-painted hotels. The village is filled with Alpine charm, but the nightlife is a different story. In the evening this place really begins to jump! Après ski (happy hour) begins at 4:00pm and the fun continues on through the wee hours of the night.

But it’s the skiing and the fabulous snow conditions which make Ortisei such a terrific ski destination. The Dolomite Ski area is so vast that even the best skier won’t be able to ski every run the week we’re there. (Be sure to check out the ski map in the left column... you will be amazed!)

Ortisei is part of the Val Gardena ski region which is made up of dozens of resorts and tiny hamlets. (We will be hiring guides to lead us from village to village for a unique day of skiing and sight seeing.); This ski area offers many tantalizing runs for all levels that descend some 300 km of on- and off-piste trails. Don't be intimidated if you are a less experienced skier: be excited to know that this vast ski area offers a ton of beginner and intermediate skiing just outside your door! If you’re an experienced skier then no doubt you’ll find the trail you’ve been looking for here. There are simply more runs and trails here than almost anywhere in the world. If you want to improve your skiing then take lessons with world-class instructors that speak fluent English.

The Hotel

We are staying at the Hotel Dolomiti Madonna, which has been owned and operated by the same family for almost a century! It is a 3 1/2 STAR hotel that is centrally located in the village center, and just 80 yards from the main ski lift. The hotel truly has one of the best locations in the village! Each day, the hotel's gourmet kitchen, will serve you a hearty skiers buffet breakfast, and a four-course dinner that will amaze you! Be assured, the food will be excellent!

The Rooms

A high standard of comfort in a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Comfortable rooms are furnished in traditional European Alpine style. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower, toilet, safe, cable tv, telephone and radio, most have a balcony. The superior double rooms have an additional sitting corner.

The Restaurant

The Hotel Dolomiti Madonna is well-known for its excellent cuisine. They offer a varied breakfast buffet and a delicious 4-course dinner with a choice of the main dish, salad buffet and a weekly Gala dinner.
